The Basics

What is changing?

We are updating our Terms of Service mainly  introducing our new AI policy and two of the Online Exhibits (Exhibit C and Exhibit D). The headline is AI transparency. We now have a system that flags fully AI-generated music so we can remove it, labels AI-assisted tracks clearly, and tags genuinely human work as "Human-Made." It goes live July 1st.

Is this a change to my Content Provider Agreement?

No. Your agreement with Traxsource is not changing. This is an update to the Terms of Service and of two of the Online Exhibits,. These are exhibit updates which your existing agreement already allows us to make through a simple click-to-agree. Your core relationship with us stays exactly as it is.

What do I need to do?

Please sign in to the label and content system, and accept our updated terms of service and two updated exhibits ASAP. It is a click-to-agree that takes around 30 seconds. That is the whole task.

What happens if I do not accept?

Until all three are accepted, uploads and account functions are paused on your account. Nothing is lost. The moment you click to agree, everything returns to normal.

When does this take effect?

The system goes live July 1st. That date is fixed, so we are asking every content provider to accept the updates ahead of it. Our goal is 100% acceptance across the supply chain.

I manage my page with an Entity Account. What do I need to do?

If you use an Entity Account to manage your Traxsource artist or label page, you only need to accept the updated Terms of Service the next time you sign in. The Online Exhibit updates do not apply to Entity Accounts. There is no deadline. The only effect until you accept is that you will not be able to upload, so it is worth doing at your next sign-in. The prompt stays on screen until you click Accept, and once you have agreed it will not appear again.

My label is distributed through a distributor. Do I need to do anything?

If your label reaches Traxsource through a distributor, everything for that label, including accepting the updated terms, is handled by your distributor. There is nothing for you to do on the label side. If you would like us to check whether your distributor has accepted yet, email Label Support and tell us which distributor handles your label. If you also have an Entity Account for your own artist or label page, that account still needs you to accept the updated Terms of Service on your next sign-in.

I clicked to agree, but I am not sure it went through.

Once you click Accept, the prompt disappears and will not show again, so if you no longer see it when you sign in, you are all set. If you do still see it, it has not registered yet, just click Accept. If you would like us to confirm your company name on file, email Label Support with your full and exact company name and we will make sure it is registered properly.
